Here is where a featured iWeb site will be listed every month. Sites are chosen as featured because of their individuality and creativity as well as for their attempts in making their sites look like they're not created with iWeb. Sites are chosen from the list of iWeb-created sites listed on iWebFAQ.com/iwebsites so make sure your site is listed if you want to be considered a feature on iWebFAQ.com. The site of the month for January 2009 is StopSuctionEntrapment.com
PublishErrors
iWeb might say there's an unknown error when Publishing but if you open Activity Monitor and look at your Network Traffic you will see that your site is still in fact uploading. Keep iWeb open until there is no more uploaded network traffic in Activity Monitor then close iWeb and you will see your site is in fact Published.
This may take several hours depending on the speed of your network (internet connection), processor, the size of your site and demand on .mac servers both by yourself and others, and/or other factors unmentioned.
After trying the recommended method delete the PrePublish.plist file from your Domain package contents, empty your Browser Cache files and reload your page to view the successful Published changes on your site.
Just remember sometimes when iWeb says there's an error Publishing there really isn't an error. Leave iWeb open until Acivity Monitor says there's no more information being uploaded (remember this may take a whole night)
Sometimes you can't always get around a Publishing Error. Another strategy you can try is watching the information on the screen while the site is Publishing. You can see what file it is trying to Publish just before the error message appears and try deleting that file and seeing if it can Publish without it.
Another method is to try Publishing your site to a folder and manually uploading it to your iDisk. A drawback to this method is that you lose .mac only features when you Publish to a folder, even if you load the site back to your iDisk. These features include iWeb's counter, comments, Password-Protection, and more. Take a look at the .mac site at Apple.com to find out more about .mac only features.
