The disease was reported in Delhi on Friday with 530 new COVID-19 cases and zero deaths, with a positive rate of 2.17 per cent, according to data shared by the city’s health department.
With the new infection, Delhi’s COVID-19 caseload has risen to 19,02,710, with the death toll standing at 26,199.
A day earlier, a total of 24,458 covids were tested in the city, the department said in its latest bulletin.
A total of 520 covid cases were recorded in the capital on Thursday with a positive rate of 2.09 per cent and one death due to the disease.
It saw 532 COVID-19 cases and zero deaths due to the disease on Wednesday, while a positive rate of 2.13 percent was recorded.
On Tuesday, 393 COVID-19 cases were recorded in the national capital with a positive rate of 3.35 percent and two deaths.
The number of daily COVID-19 cases in Delhi reached a record high of 28,867 on January 13 during the third wave of the epidemic.
The city recorded a positive rate of 30.6 percent on January 14, the highest during the third wave of the epidemic.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in Delhi stood at 2,229, down from 2,377 the previous day, the bulletin said.
About 1,602 patients are under home-isolation, down from 1,755 on Thursday, it said, adding that the city has 895 containment zones.
Hospitals in Delhi have 9,581 beds for COVID-19 patients, including 115 beds, the bulletin said.
