Bhagat Singh: Exclusion of Bhagat Singh’s text from school textbooks in Karnataka

The report on the removal of Bhagat Singh’s text from school textbooks has hit the BJP government in Karnataka hard, with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal saying on Tuesday that it was an insult to the iconic freedom fighter’s self-sacrifice, and demanded its withdrawal. Decision.

Kejriwal’s response came a day after some organizations, including the All India Democratic Students Organization (AIDSO) and the All India Save Education Committee (AISEC), said the Karnataka government had dropped a text from freedom fighter Bhagat Singh and included an RSS speech. Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi, “Why do BJP people hate Amar Shaheed Sardar Bhagat Singh Ji so much? Removing Sardar Bhagat Singh Ji’s name from school textbooks is an insult to Amar Shahid’s self-sacrifice,” Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi.

“The country will not tolerate such humiliation of its martyrs at all. The BJP government will have to reverse this decision,” he added.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has termed the removal of Bhagat Singh’s chapter from Kannada textbooks as “shameful” and demanded that the Karnataka government restore school textbooks.

Karnataka’s Primary and Secondary Education Minister BC Nagesh has defended the inclusion of a headgear lecture in a revised Kannada textbook for Class X students.

Nagesh says the textbook has nothing to do with headgear or RSS, but only his speech is what should inspire people, especially for young people and those who have objected did not go through the textbook.
