Jnanvapi: SC has asked the Varanasi Civil Court to hold a Jnanvapi hearing.

On Thursday, the apex court asked the Varanasi civil court not to hear the case till Friday.

Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain told a bench of Justices DY Chandrachur, Surya Kant and PS Narasimha that Hari Shankar Jain, the chief counsel for Hindus, had been disposed of in the civil case.

Advocate Vishnu said they were assuring the bench that Hindu parties would not proceed with the hearing in the civil court in Varanasi. The bench recorded the submission and ordered the civil court not to hear the case till Friday, when it will hear the matter.
